Info:

This is the debut album from The Partridge Family Temple, a latter-day religious cult who worship the characters on the 1970s American TV show The Partridge Family and proclaim that "Fun is The Law." In Jungian fashion, each character from the original The Partridge Family show is regarded not as a mere fictional persona, but as representative of an archetypal god or goddess within a pantheon devised by the Temple's founders, and is venerated by devotees as such. Shirley Partridge is the virgin mother and Godhead, Danny Partridge is the trickster god, Keith Partridge is the sex god and world savior, et cetera. The Partridge Family Temple conceives of itself in the strictest religious terms; a mystical order in which members even go so far as to adopt a sacred Partridge name in lieu of their own.

Family Tree features performances and appearances from Temple members such as Shaun and Kaleidoscope Partridge (The Unpop Sound), 7up and Windchimes Partridge (Tabernacle), Disneyland Partridge (NON), Pollywog Partridge, Whale Song Partridge, and various others. Family Tree was recorded and mixed on tape, in the San Francisco home of producer Walker Phillips. The album's cover artwork was created by 7up Partridge, Windchimes Partridge, Whale Song Partridge, and Pollywog Partridge. The vinyl LP edition of Family Tree is pressed on back vinyl and limited to 300 copies.
